Mozilla has released Firefox 20 for Windows, Mac and Linux computers. The new version brings enhancements to private browsing, a new Download Manager and 'getUserMedia' for developers. This release follows Firefox version 19 which was released on February 19th
Mozilla has also released Firefox 20 for Android which you can download through the Google Play Store.
Firefox includes a new enhancement to private browsing that allows you to open a new private browsing window without closing or changing your current browsing session. You can quickly switch to private browsing mode if you want to buy a a gift for your loved one without them finding out.
The update also includes a new Download Manager in the Firefox toolbar, which allows you to monitor, view and locate downloaded files without having to switch to another window. This makes it much easier to download files using Firefox.
Developers can take advantage of getUserMedia which is an important part of the WebRTC specification. It allows developers to quickly and easily write code that accesses the user's camera or microphone. Firefox also includes a developer toolbox which provides quick access to developer tools in one convenient window and gives developers easy to remember ways to switch between tools. The Canvas Blend Modes allow developers to define how they want Canvas to daw over an existing image to create different visual effects.
