The LG Optimus G on AT&T is receiving a new software update, but unfortunately it doesn’t bring a new version of Android. After installing the update the phone will remain on Android 4.0.4 (build IMM76L) and will have the software version E97011c.
It’s a little disappointing that the AT&T variant is still waiting for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, especially since it was released for the Sprint variant quite some time ago.
In any case this recently released update could be preparing the LG Optimus G on AT&T, for its own share of Jelly Bean.
AT&T hasn't provided a change-log with the update release, so if you own an LG Optimus G and have received the update, drop us a comment and let us know if you came across anything new.
