A couple of days ago we saw Google release Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the Google Nexus 10, Google Nexus 7 and Google Galaxy Nexus. While the company didn't release an official change-log, the users who have installed the new update on their phones and tablets have revealed some of the new features and improvements that have been included with the update.
Firstly there is a new notifications bar which shows the time remaining and the percentage left of an in-progress app download. The Quick Settings panel has been updated to include the ability to long press to toggle Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ON or OFF. Strangle the toggle for Airplane mode only requires a single press and tiles like the data tile don’t have the toggle function at all.
The update also adds a new new system sounds, including one which indicates when the battery is low and a new sound for wireless charging. Wireless charging didn't have a sound assigned to it previously and it now comes in time for Google’s release of the charging orb for the Nexus 4.
Have you installed the Android 4.2.2 software update on any of your Nexus devices? If you have drop us a comment on any of the other changed you may have noticed.
