LG Tab-Book is a tablet/notebook hybrid which will be unveiled at the MWC

LG LogoThe LG Tab-Book is an upcoming tablet-notebook hybrid which is set to unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This Windows 8 device features a sliding keyboard mechanism, an IPS touchscreen display of an undisclosed size and is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor.

The display offers improved contrast and superior viewing angles and pushing the auto-sliding button unveils the keyboard when its required.

LG’s Senior Vice President and Head of the LG Home Entertainment Company’s IT Business Unit Il-geun Kwon, had the following to say regarding the device:
The Tab-Book is going to appeal to consumers who want the convenience of a tablet but also the productivity of a notebook and don’t want to carry two devices all the time. Many other products that claim to do both require making too many sacrifices in performance and weight. We think we've hit the perfect balance here and with super fast LTE connectivity, we’re delivering true convergence of computing and mobile devices.
LG didn't disclose any other specifications of the device, but promised to reveal more about the tablet at the upcoming MWC.

the LG Tab-Book will be rolled out to additional markets around the world following its launch in Korea this week. Stay tuned to our MWC coverage for more updates.
