Samsung Galaxy Camera to receive a software update with improved camera app and new shooting modes

Samsung-Galaxy-Camera-Head-OnSamsung has been working on their first update for the Samsung Galaxy Camera for some time now and it looks like the ROM has leaked out. It shouldn't be too long for the update to be made available for download over-the-air but you could also consider manually flashing it using the ODIN tool if you have rooted your device.

The update which includes Android 4.1.2 is expected to bring improvements to the camera app, which makes it more responsive with smoother animations. Reports suggest that the performance improvements are particularly noticeable on the on-screen control wheels in ‘smart’ and ‘expert’ modes.

The update also includes the following four new smart shooting modes:
  • Dawn – for taking pictures that emphasize the dawn sky by making the blue more intense.
  • Snow – emphasize the brightness of snow by making the white more intense.
  • Food – for getting vivid colors in your photos.
  • Party/Indoor – removes blurring.
The update will brings other performance improvements and tweaks which may expand when the final version is made available for download. When the update is available for your device, you should receive a notification.

If you want to manually install the leaked ROM, you can do so by following the source link.
