Apple releases iOS 6.0.2 exclusively for the iPhone 5 and iPad mini


Apple has released an updated to iOS 6.0 which is exclusive to the Apple iPhone 5 and the Apple iPad mini. The iOS 6.0.2 update specifically targets a Wi-Fi bug and also promises to brings performance improvements and other bug fixes. It’s generally very rare to see Apple release an update targeted at just one or two iOS device.

If you own either an iPhone 5 or an iPad mini, you can download the update by heading over to Settings > General > Software Update where you can update your device OTA. You can also connect your device to iTunes in order to download the update.

If you own one of the other device, iOS 6.0.1 still remains the latest version. Meanwhile Apple released the fourth beta of iOS 6.1 yesterday, which is anticipated for release somewhere around January 2013.

iOS 6.1 will bring several new features to the platform including improvements to Siri and an updated Passbook app with boarding passes. The update also promises to improve battery life according to some reports.
