The Nokia Lumia 510 is an entry level smartphone which is expected to run Windows Phone 7.8. The device features a generous 4 inch touch display, 4GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera and is powered by an 800 MHz processor with 512MB of RAM.
The device was recently shown running the Windows Phone 7.8 in a video from China. It shows off the new Start Screen with different size tiles, new color accents and a Bing lock screen wallpaper.
Windows Phone 7.8 is expected to arrive to be made available for Windows Phone 7.5 handsets and to launch sometime in the next few weeks. We personally don’t feel the Windows Phone 7.8 update makes up for the lack of Windows Phone 8, but it is some sort of compensation for our devices until we choose to move on to the newer version.
The video does show some lag in the UI and hope that this is because we are looking at an early version of the update.
