Android users have had the benefit of the uTorrent app for some time now, while iOS users have had to rely on the uTorrent Remote web app to remotely access torrents on their computers. Apple has cited copyright infringements as the cause for not permitting a client on their platform and Microsoft seams to agree with this somewhat.
Instead of allowing a full torrent client, uTorrent Remote for Windows Phone is now available for download on the Windows Phone Store. You can also download the app using the link which follows:
Press the Search button on your Windows Phone, tap Vision and then scan the following barcode by pointing your device camera toward it
uTorrent Remote for Windows Phone has the following features:
- Secure remote access to µTorrent from anywhere.
- Connects to your home computer from anywhere you have an internet connection.
- Use µTorrent Remote to add, remove, start, stop torrents and check download progress of all your torrents.
- Check your RSS feeds and start downloads on the go.
- Use your mobile browser to find torrents and they will automatically be added to your home µTorrent.
- Completed downloads can even be shifted directly back to your Windows device for local playback.
