[Windows Phone app] Nokia Transport updated (2.3) offers color-coded transportation and nearest station departures

While a stable build of Nokia Transport was recently released on Windows Phone Store, An updated version 2.3 of Nokia Transport has now been made available to download on Nokia Beta Labs.

In order to download the beta build you will have to head sign up for an account at the Nokia  Beta Labs. Once you have signed in you can follow the source link to download Nokia Transport for your Lumia Windows Phone.

Nokia Transport works with subways, buses, trams and trolleys in over 500 major cities, making it a must have application for users who rely on public transportation. The app now offers Over-the-Air updates to ensure that you will always have the latest information for your city or network.

The new version offers color-coded modes of transportation, making it clearer on how you should proceed. It also offers one tap access to all the public transport stations close to you with the nearest departure times.

You can swipe left and right to access previous routes, and update your destination from your own travel history. The information will automatically be updated based on your current position and latest details. If you are close to the station, you can even consider using the walking directions.
We hope that Nokia will find a way of tying in their travel apps in some way in future builds. I would very much like to see the offline Mapping feature in Nokia Maps, made available to apps like Nokia Transport and Nokia Drive.
