Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon receives first software update


The Samsung Galaxy S III has been available through Verizon for around two months now and has gone on to become one of the carrier’s best selling smartphones this summer.Being on of the flagship Android smartphones, the device is in line for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but meanwhile Verizon has decided to release the device’s first software update.


The update is an incremental update for your Samsung Galaxy S III carriers the version number I535VRALG7 and is said to be 30.7MB in size. The update is said to resolve a ‘No SIM’ error message which some users have been facing despite swapping their SIM for a new one.

Other benefits of the update include
  • Improved stability and connectivity with Backup Assistant.
  • Added support for viewing the Guided Tour videos over the Cellular Network.
  • Enhanced customer support with Verizon Remote Diagnostics.
  • Improved data connectivity when using SBeam.
  • Resolved NFC (TecTile) tagging issue to ensure pre-programmed text messages stay accurate.
