[Windows Phone app] Nokia Transport graduates from beta



We got our first look at the Nokia Transport for Windows Phone app a couple of months ago offering users an easy way to travel on foot or using public transport

now it looks like it’s ready for mainstream use as it graduates from beta and is now available for download through the Windows Phone Marketplace.

  • Scan the barcode
  • Tap on the link when it appears on the screen
  • Install the application from the Windows Phone Marketplace
To begin you need to select your destination, and Nokia Transport will show you the best way to leave your home, and how long it will take to walk to your local bus or train stop. You will have your journey detailed with an arrival time estimated for your planned destination. Check out the following video demo of Nokia Transport in action.


You may have noted that the app is referred to as Nokia Transit in the video demonstration and may indicate a potential name change for the app or a previously used name during its testing phase.

Nokia Transport is available for the Nokia Lumia Series, including the , , and the . The app currently assists users in over 100 cities and urban areas and can provide routes for an estimate of over 450 cities. Nokia promises to continue expanding the service to cover more locations.
