Nokia hints that the 808 Pureview is coming to the US on Monday ?

We know that Microsoft has a big announcement set for Monday, but we have no clue what to expect. The consensus was that Microsoft was going to reveal their own tablet to compete with the iPad and that it would be manufactured by Nokia.

All eyes obviously turned toward Nokia at that point, and the company went on their US Facebook page with some interesting clues.

The first clue came in the form of a Map of Hawaii

While this clue by itself, hinted at a possible Maps related announcement, it wasn’t until the second clue came online that users dug deeper. The Hawaii Islands telephone are code is 808.

The next picture was of a drum machine

Which turns out to be the Roland TR-808

For anyone who was still not convinced Nokia laid out their third clue

This clue pointed to the ex:el album cover of the electronic music group 808 State.

So we have three clues pointing toward the Nokia 808 Pureview? and is it going to be announced in the U.S. on Monday?

Well it will be very unlikely that Nokia will attempt to bring Symbian OS back into the U.S. after their hefty marketing campaigns with Windows Phone. So what does the 808 reference mean?

Are they saying that we will see the Pureview technology in the next generation Windows Phones as early as on Monday? Could Nokia and Microsoft have a Windows Phone 8 device with Preview onboard ready for Monday ?

Or are all these 808 clues, just a clever way to get the public attention away from what Microsoft and Nokia really have in store for us?

Well Monday is just a couple of days away, so all we can do is wait and see.
