The Spotify for iOS app has been updated and offers a new tablet optimized interface with support for the retina display on the new iPad. Spotify for iOS allows you to stream millions of tracks from thousands of albums and artists to your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Take your existing Spotify playlists with you on the go - listen to them during your commute, in the gym or on a flight.

The new version also brings Airplay integration, which will allow you to stream and enjoy Spotify through Apple TV.
The new version of Spotify for iPad also includes crossfade and gapless playback as well as a universal search for songs, artists and playlists all from the same view.
Thanks to the Spotify social experience you can find trending music and recommended tracks from your friends.
While the application is free for download you will need a subscription to enjoy Spotify on your iPad. This is a little unfortunate considering that the device which is set to replace the PC doesn’t give you the same functionality of the PC version of the app.
