Apple has released the iOS 5.1.1 firmware update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The update which follows iOS 5.1 which was released along with the new iPad, offers performance improvements and bug fixes.

You can download iOS 5.1.1 for your iOS device through iTunes by connecting your device to your computer and by Searching for updates for your device.
You can also obtain the update over the air (OTA) by navigating to Settings > Software Update on your device.
