Skype Beta for Windows Phone was released back in February and it looks like Microsoft is finally ready to take the app off beta and have released version 1.0 of the application.

Requirements | Windows Phone 7.5 or above |
Skype for Windows Phone allows you to take free calls to other Skype users around the world independent of the platform they are using. The final version has added some user interface improvements over the beta version along with the ability to search through and add new contacts.
The only downside with the Windows Phone version of Skype is that it wont run in the background and you need to have the Skype app running if you want to make or receive calls.
If you don’t mind that the new version of Skype will be a great fit with the brand new Nokia Lumia 900 you may have purchased from AT&T recently.
