You can follow our step by step guide on how to install the latest version of Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on your Google Nexus S.

[NOTE] The following process of installing this custom ROM will wipe all of the device's data. Please ensure you backup your data before you proceed.
[NOTE] This update can only be installed over the stock IML74K Android 4.0.3 firmware. Please make sure you have updated to that version before you proceed with this guide.

- Download Android 4.0.4 and rename the file to 'update.zip'.
- Connect your Nexus S to the computer
- Copy the zip file to the root directory of your Nexus S
- Turn off your device
- Press Volume Up + Power button.
- Navigate to 'Recovery'using volume buttons and select it using the Power button.
- When you see the exclamation mark on your screen
- Press Power + Volume Up buttons
- In the Recovery Menu
- Select Update from SD card
- Select 'update.zip' which you copied in Step 3
- Press the Power button to confirm
- Once your device reboots your can enjoy Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
You will receive an automatic notification when the update is available for your device but you can also manually search for the update though Settings > About phone > System update.
