The first Nokia Windows Phones, the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 710 have made their way to India and are now available for purchase. Nokia has spared no expense to ensure that their new path to Windows Phone is received well in what has been a exorbitant marketing campaign.
The campaign included dance performances, musical events, helicopter and luxury car rides for customers, cricket matches with famous cricketers, para-sailing sessions and much more. India which is a huge user base for Nokia devices has recently been drawn away by Android and iOS. Nokia is making sure it's efforts get it's Windows Phone lineup the effort it deserves to push Nokia back on top.
The two smartphones which are the first results of the Nokia-Microsoft partnership have been promoted heavily through marketing campaigns all around the world. Nokia has a large hurdle to climb against Apple and Google's offerings and Microsoft will also have to work overtime to ensure they catch up and get passed the competition which has a head start which has been years in the making.
