iOS 5.1 (Beta 02) released

Apple has released the first beta of iOS 5.1 for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G. This release is only available to developers who have registered in Apple's standard or enterprise developer program.

This update (build 9B5127C) allows you to delete photos from your Photo Stream, which is a welcom addition since you can't really edit anything on the Photo Stream.

The update also promises to offer bug fixes and improve the security which means that users who rely on Jailbreak should stay clear of this update. The Beta 2 follows the Beta 1 release on November 28.

So if you are an iOS developer download the official iOS 5.1 Beta 2 from here.

You will have to sign up for the Apple Developer Program to get access to this and many other beta products which are released to developers only. Enrolling for this program will cost you $99 a year. You are advised to avoid downloading these files from unofficial sources like torrent or file sharing sites. Downlaoding and installing  unofficial files may compromise the functionality of your device.
