We previously reported that BlackBerry devices in the EMEA region have had service outages of their BBM and email services. Following RIM's statement that they have identified the issue the problems were occurring in Europe, India, Brazil, Chile and Argentina and now continue to spread.
Latest reports from BlackBerry users in Canada and the United States are also experiencing the same service outages. While RIM is working hard to restore these services which have been blamed on a 'core switch failure' companies that rely on BlackBerry servies have started allowing their employees to use their personal smartphones in their enterprise networks, which is basically inviting iPhones and Androids to take BlackBerry's space in the corporate field.
We hope that BlackBerry will be back up and running sooner rather than later, or they will have to deal with loosing their coorporate clientele to competitors who are just waiting for a chance to take them away.
