Is HTC looking to buy a mobile OS

According to Next Web, HTC's co-founder and chairperson Cher Wang has confirmed that the company has been considering the purchase of a mobile OS.

Nokia may not have had success with it's own Mobile OS when they chose to switch over to Windows Phone as their smartphone platform. But companies like Samsung are working on their own operating system in BADA trying to make their mark midst a very competitive market.

Since HTC is not looking to start building a new OS from ground up, they will have to look at something that is already available like Palm's WebOS or probably Intel Meego.
