Mobile Networks experience congestion following earthquake in U.S. East Coast


Following an earthquake in the U.S. East Coast, users may experience problems making phone calls due to congestion in phone lines. Sprint and T-Mobile is advising users to send text messages or emails instead to get in touch with your friends and family and avoid congestion.

[UPDATE] The earthquake is reported to have affected the North-East portion of the US at around 2.00PM EST. The earthquake was reported to have a magnitude of 5.9 in Virginia and was felt in the surrounding regions as far as Atlanta, Ohio, Ne York and Toronto.
