Motorola Xoom price dropped to $499

The Motorola Xoom was announced with as the first Android 3.0 tablet, making it one of the most highly sought after tablets. However when it did finally get released, it was priced so high that it lost its demand very quickly falling behind it's competitors.

Now it seems like Motorola has reduced it's price by $100 which is quite a good deal considering it has 32GB of storage on-board compared to the competing brands in the same price range. The GSM and CDMA version however still remain at their original prices.

Rumors of an upcoming tablet device from Verizon puts the possibility of an upcoming Motorola Xoom 2, which could also be the reason for this price drop.
