Microsoft releases tool to port iPhone apps to Windows Phone

One of the biggest problems Microsoft faces is the slow app build up. With iOS and Android apps in the thousands, Microsoft is forced to play catch up. In a recent report from WMUser is seams like Microsoft has a solution available.

Microsoft has launched a API mapping tool which is capable of translate the APIs between iOS and Windows Phone 7. iOS developers can use this tool to compare their app APIs with the corresponding Windows Phone APIs along with sample C# code and documentation.
While this tool is new and has some way to go, it works well with certain features like Network, UI and data management apps.

Developers can download the tool here, and get more information on this process here.
