[Guide] How to soft reset your Nokia N8

A soft reset is sometimes a quick way to get your device cleaned and feeling like new. This wipes your device and, most of the time, fixes an error that may be plaguing your handset.

Before performing a soft reset, please remember to backup your data using Nokia's Ovi Suite. Here's how:

Follow these simple steps to perform a soft reset on the Nokia N8:

1. Go into the Nokia N8’s main menu
2. Tap Settings
3. Then go into Phone
4. Scroll down to Phone management
5. Select Factory Settings
6. Now you’ll be presented with two options: "restore" and "delete data and restore"
7. Select Restore

The phone will now restored to its original factory setup, but none of your data or apps will be erased. If this process doesn't help you resolve your issue you can try to hard reset your device.
