Nokia N8 - Photo Gallery app demonstrated

Check out the following video demonstration of the Photo / Video gallery app on the Nokia N8. I am curious to see how Nokia has improved this feature with Symbian^3, as i have not been happy with the Gallery application in the Symbian touch devices.

The gallery app on the Nokia N79 was beautiful and easy to use and I think Nokia needs to reach that point on their touch friendly version of Symbian before they can consider the platform worthy of competing with iOS and Android.

Check out the following video demo of the gallery app on the Nokia N8 and let us know what you think.

The flicking through seams quite fast and responsive, much better than the capacitive touch of the X6. Opening a file also looks very fast, but the files opened look quite small. It would be interesting to see how the N8 handles bigger files. The N8 even flicks through small images extremely quickly.

It doesn't seam to have the irritating loading screen. The zooming bar is still visible on the image, so i wonder if tap to zoom and pinch zoom have been implemented.

The auto rotate still blinks out and lacks a animated rotation like i have seen on other devices. This is also soothing i think Nokia needs to pay attention to before the device is released.

The uploader of the video credits the N8 as the best Nokia ever, I have to disagree and call it the best Nokia to date. Nokia has a bad habit of releasing a good device and releasing a better one just a few months later :)
