BlackBerry PlayBook 16GB to be discontinued by RIM
The BlackBerry PlayBook is RIM's first attempt in the tablet market, and it hasn't been a successful venture against Apple's dominance with the iPad. However RIM has aggressively marketed their QNX based tablet giving users more than one reason to choose the PlayBook.
So while one would expect that the cheapest of the PlayBooks - the 16GB model would remain the most successful, RIM has decided to discontinue it in favor or the higher capacity 32GB and 64GB variants.

BlackBerry OS 10 notification system demonstrated
It seams like the folks at RIM have been working very hard to bring the QNX powered BlackBerry OS 10. This was revealed in the new notification system was revealed by RIM's software chief Vivek Bharwaj during BlackBerry World which is currently taking place.
The improved feature allows you to glance into your notifications while and get back to what you were doing. This is not a new feature for iOS and Android users who have a detailed view of their notifications when they are using another app, thanks to their respective notification trays, but it is good to see the folks at RIM have taken a different approach to their notifications as you will see in the following video demo.
