Nokia N9 counter removed

Not too long ago we reported that Nokia had added a counter symbolizing the release of the Meego powered Nokia N9. However it looks like it has been removed today for some unknown reason.

We are not quite sure if the N9 launch date has been rescheduled or if the site is undergoing some sort of update.

Nokia N9 - Release countdown begins

The Nokia N9 which is powered by Meego is finally coming close to release and Nokia has actually started a countdown to show it. As the countdown suggests the device will be released on 23 September. The N9 will features a 3.9 inch display, 8MP camera and a full 'swipe' interface which allows users to fully interact with their device using swipes and gestures.

Nokia N9 Seconds - Codes Revealed

The N9 Seconds competition concluded yesterday with the last of the 20 codes being solved and 20 lucky winners walking away with what may be a Nokia N9 each. Over the last month Nokia's ad campaign 'the world's quickest ads' were viewed over 2.7 million times on YouTube by thousands of people who in tern would enter over 300,000 codes at n9seconds.com in hopes of winning a prize. If you were the lucky first to enter the correct code you would have been deemed correct.

Nokia recently hosted N9 Seconds Contest giving users a chance to win some Nokia devices, presumably the Nokia N9. As of today all twenty codes have been cracked leaving twenty lucky users with a valuable prize.

Nokia N9 release pushed to mid September ?

Nokia fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Nokia N9. The first device to feature Meego from Nokia. It was initially reported that the N9 will be released mid August but it looks like the release may be pushed to 15 September.

Even with Nokia's device road-map leading to Windows Phone and their plans to abandon Meego as their smartphone operating system, the Nokia N9 is a device which has brought a lot of excitement from the online community for it's unique user experience and beautiful design.

With all the hype, there has not been any news on the release of this device. At least until now. Orange in Switzerland claims that their online stores are expecting the arrival of the Meego powered Nokia N9 on September 15. News that will make the Meego fans (at least in Switzerland) very happy.

Nokia N9 Seconds Contest (Update)

Yesterday we announced an ongoing competition from Nokia which offers users a chance to win a Nokia N9. The goal is to solve a set of codes which appear in a sequence of advertisements which Nokia posted on their YouTube channel. Twenty codes unlock twenty Nokia N9 devices and twelve have already been found.

The Nokia YouTube page has been updated to feature the Nokia N9. I find it quite strange that Nokia is campaigning hard for the N9 if they are not going to follow on with it's development but Nokia seams determined to market their first and only device and they have done so with a series of 6 ads in less than 60 seconds.
