Today is a historical day at Microsoft, as Satya Nadella takes over as the software giant's third CEO. Microsoft founder Bill Gates took over a new position of Technology Advisor while John Thompson was named the new Chairman of Board of Directors. Since Steve Ballmer announced that he would be stepping down as Microsoft's CEO, the company has been working hard to find a suitable replacement. The new CEO is faced with a huge task of bringing Microsoft into the modern era, dominated by mobile devices.Satya sent out his first email as Microsoft's new chief, introducing his plans for the company's future.
