Nokia Treasure Tag officially announced

The Nokia Treasure Tag is an accessor for Bluetooth 4.0 LE enabled Lumia Windows Phone 8 device. The accessory is designed to alert you whenever you leave the attached belongings behind.

The tag measures in at just 30 x 30 x 10mm, weighs only 13g and comes in a selection of colors which go with your Lumia smartphone. Its small enough to be attached to anything valuable, like your wallet, purse, backpack or anything you frequently leave behind.

The Treasure Tags can be connected to your Windows Phone through either NFC or by doing a Bluetooth search. Once connected, they emit a loud tone when separated. You can connect up to four Treasure Tags to one Windows Phone handset and battery of the device lasts for up to six months, which can be replaced with a standard coin cell battery.

The Treasure Tag companion app allows you to pair your Windows Phone with your Treasure Tag accessory. The app uses the Bluetooth 4.0 Proximity Profile to help you find your belongings with intuitive visual and audio guidance. Setting up the tags is simple, just connect your tags to the Windows Phone via Bluetooth and the phone will alert you automatically if you leave the tagged item behind.

Each tag can be pinned to the startscreen as Live Tiles for status updates and convenient access. It require a Bluetooth 4.0 Smart connection and a Lumia running the Lumia Black software.
