[iOS app] Google Currents updated (2.1) with audio playlists and more


The Google Currents for iOS app has been updated to version 2.1 and brings several new features and improvements including audio playlists. Given that the Google Currents for iOS app generally lags behind the Android version, its good to see that Google giving its some attention. Google Currents delivers beautiful magazine-like editions to your tablet and smartphone for high speed and offline reading.

Google Currents for iOS version 2.1 has the following new features and improvements:

  • Audio Playlist support for editions - The audio playlists feature was released to the Android version some time ago, and lets you build a playlist of audio clips in your Currents feeds.
  • Vertical pagination for articles - This should be useful to those sporting 7 inch tablets and for longer articles.
  • Pinch-to-zoom on pictures.
Along with these features the update also brings bug fixes and performance improvements which are always welcome.
