Microsoft Surface Pro goes on sale through Microsoft Stores and retail partners


Microsoft Surface ProThe Microsoft Surface (Pro) will go on sale starting today providing users with a more powerful alternative to the Microsoft Surface (RT). The Surface Pro features a 10.6-inch touch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel HD resolution, up to 128GB of internal storage, a full-USB 3.0 port, and is powered by a dual core Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge processor with 4GB of RAM.

The Surface Pro is slightly thicker and heavier than the ARM powered Surface RT and sacrifices battery life in favor of a full Windows 8 experience. This means that you will be able to run all your Windows 8 apps and games while the Surface RT is restricted to downloading apps only from the Windows Store.

The Surface will Windows 8 Pro is perfect for customers and businesses in need of power and performance of a PC in a tablet form for portability. You will be able to purchase the device at Microsoft retail stores in the U.S. and Canada or through microsoftstore.com and at Stapes and Best Buy n the United States or Best Buy and Future Shop in Canada.

Additionally Microsoft will also allow customers to purchase a 64GB standalone version of the Surface RT for USD $599. The tablet which was previously packaged with the smart-cover can now be purchased separately so customers can choose a cover in a color of their choice.

Microsoft will also introduce three new Touch Cover Limited Editions in red, magenta and cyan which will be available for USD $129.99 in all markets where the Surface is sold. These touch covers feature laser-etched artwork from trendsetting designers. You can choose  a design to express your personal style.

  • Flowers offers floral designs with stay fresh through out the year.
Microsoft is also introducing a new Surface Edition Wedge Mouse which has been inspired by the Microsoft Surface.  It’s a wireless product which can be connected to your Surface for seamless and comfortable use. The Wedge Mouse will retail for USD $69.95 in all markets where the Surface is sold, with additional markets expected to follow in the weeks ahead.
