Samsung Galaxy Note II on Verizon receives software update


Samsung-Galaxy-Note-2The Samsung Galaxy Note II on Verizon is now receiving a software update which updates the device software to version I605VRALL4 and is labeled an “Android Security Patch added for additional security”. The update is expected to patch the Exynos exploit along with updating the radio baseband, which should help improve the signal reception.

The Galaxy Note II features a 5.5 inch HD touch display, up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, 4G LTE connectivity, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Its inbuilt stylus and additional software suite makes the device a great tool for many different users.

The update is being offered OTA (over-the-air) and is around 7.8MB in size. This is fairly a small file but you can always save your data connection and download it over Wi-Fi.


Keep in mind that by patching the Exynos exploit, which was used to root and unlock the Galaxy Note II bootloader. The update will disable your root, but there is now a new guide on how to root your Galaxy Note II for Verizon.
