Nokia has announce a premium version of their Nokia Music service which enhances the experience for the users. Nokia’s VP of entertainment, Jyrki Rosenberg stated that people are so impressed with Nokia Mix Radio that they are surprised that the manufacturers was offering the service for free.Currently the free version of Nokia Music is available for the all the Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices in the U.S. including the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820.
Nokia Music+ brings several new features and improvements including unlimited skips for users, which allow them to move from track to track. The free service limits users to download up to four mixes, each of which can contain hours of music which can be played without an internet connection. The premium service on the other hand removes this limitation and allows unlimited downloads. Additionally the premium version offers up to eight times higher quality downloads and you can set a rule so that music is only downloaded over your Wi-Fi connection.
The premium service also includes the ability to view lyrics of the song you are listening to, which will be either displayed on a scrolling list or through a display which you can manually scroll through. The premium service will even give the option to listen to your music on your desktop computer, SmartTV or other connected devices using a web app.
There is still no information on how you could sign up for this service, but it is expected to be revealed shortly before the service rolls out in a few weeks. The European market will be the first to get access to Nokia Music+ which will cost €3.99 a month. While Nokia hasn’t confirmed if the service is coming to the U.S. they did reveal a $3.99 USD price tag which indicates that it likely will.
