Nokia Lumia 920 to receive update which will improve photo quality

The Nokia Lumia 920  in the U.S. and Canada is expected to receive the Portico update sometime this month alongside the Nokia Lumia 820 which is expected to bring a few new features and improvements to your devices. Recent reports are suggesting that the update is expected to bring some improvements to the quality of photos captured by Nokia Lumia 920.

The PureView Phase 2 camera with its floating lens technology and optical image stabilization (OIS) have been one of the biggest selling points for the Lumia 920. However while the device excels in low light photography, daytime photos have been somewhat disappointing. The upcoming ‘Portico’ update hopes to fix this issue and bring impressive improvements to the camera picture quality.

Some samples have recently been revealed showing how the device captures images before and after the software update.
