Damian Dinning is known for his work with the 12MP camera on the Nokia N8, the 41MP camera on the Nokia 808 PureView and most recently on the PureView camera on the Nokia Lumia 920. He has recently decided to move on from Nokia to Jaguar Land Rover, and pursue one of his other passions which is automobiles.Nokia recently decided to move all of its strategic roles to Finland, and Dinning who is based in the U.K. decided not to make the move. He did however assure Nokia fans that his contributions to the imaging technology of Nokia’s cameras was part of a team effort and that the company will continue their great work in the camera department. He also stated that Nokia handsets will continue to feature his contributions throughout 2013.
Nokia’s most recent Lumia 920 is an amazing device in the camera department, and we hope that the company will be able to continue to produce great camera phones without Mr. Dinning’s leadership.
