The Google Search app for Android has been updated. The new version (1.3.3.247963) promises a faster and smoother search experience in a simpler interface.You can download the application directly on your device through the Android Market or by using the link which follows:

The app also provides grouped search results with web searches on the top and results of apps, contacts and maps underneath. You can remove search results from history with a long press and the global search feature allows you to get country specific results.
This version of search which is the default on Android 4.0 devices is now compatible with devices running Android 2.2 and higher.
