Google has not been very quick with applications on the iOS platform, instead relying on their web versions instead. But this looks to change, and the GMail application for iOS is finally getting set to make it's way to the platform.Google is probably not the ones to blame for this. Apple and Google have quite a strong rivalry going on as they try to best each other in mobile market dominance.
So the GMail will be joining the other Google Apps like Google Maps, and Google Voice as soon as it is approved. The application is said to feature push notifications, contact icons, improved threading and deep search functionality among other features. We will let you know as soon as the application is made available.
