GSM network with a micro SIM card.
Unlike the phones that come from the carriers, you will have to pay the full un-subsidized costs, with the $649 for 16GB, $749 for 32GB and $849 for 64GB models. The unlocked versions will only work on GSM networks and cannot be used with CDMA networks like Verizon or Sprint.
Even T-Mobile users are out of luck, as the device will only work as a 2G device and won't access the 3G speeds as the frequencies differ on T-Mobile.
