The HTC Shift is a ultra portable computer which runs runs Microsoft's Windows Vista. Vista was a severe let down as a mobile OS with a resource hungry UI which is not touch friendly. With the release of Windows 8 comes a new lease in life for this aging device.

Windows 8 unifies the touch and desktop experience bringing the Metro UI from Windows Phone to Microsoft's desktop platform and the HTC Shift is a device which can truly benefit from the advancements Microsoft has made with Windows 8
