Sources have claimed that Apple will be holding a press conference to reveal their band new iOS and iPhone devices on the 5th October 2011.Current rumors point towards the next generation iPhone being the spotlight of this release, but there are also hopes of a cheaper entry level iPhone which will resemble the iPhone 4. But there are also rumors of a new hardware device in the works, which could also debut at this media event. The iPod Touch is also due to be refreshed this year with rumors pointing towards a 3G enabled version in the works.
Previous speculations pointed towards Apple announcing the new iPhone on September 7th. But with Orange CEO Stephane Richard recently (accidentally) mentioning that they are expecting the new iPhone by October 15, we may see the October 5 date quite suitable for this announcement.
