Lenovo schedules event on September 4, mocks Apple in the process

LenovoLenovo is sending out events for its own event which will take place on September 4, during the IFA in Berlin. During the event, the company is expected to unveil the Lenovo Vibe X2. However, what's interesting is the text on the invitation which reads "We can't say anything either".

The statement is clearly a jab at Apple, which sent out invitations for its September 9 press conference with the text "Wish we could say more". Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6 and likely its first wearable device during the event. With the amount of media attention directed toward Apple's unveiling, its not uncommon for competitors to try and wrestle some attention back towards themselves.

Lenovo's invitation has the Vibe X2 text in the middle of what looks like a Lollipop, likely indicating that their upcoming device will be running the Android L Release. Interestingly recent reports have suggested that the next version of Android may be named Lemon Meringue Pie instead of Lollipop. According to various reports, the Vibe X2 is expected to feature a layered metal design, a 5 inch 1080p display, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera and a quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.
