Spotify for iOS has been updated to version 1.5.0 and brings a few new features including a much-anticipated one in the form of an equalizer. Spotify for iOS lets you stream millions of tracks from thousands of albums and artists to your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Take your existing Spotify playlists with you on the go - listen to them during your commute, in the gym or on a flight.
You can download the update directly on your device through the Apple App Store or by using the following link
The new equalizer on Spotify for iOS allows users to select from 22 different presets, such as Hip-Hop, Flatness, Bass Reducer, Acoustic, Treble Booster, etc. Spotify's equalizer menu can be found in Settings, in the Playback tab, and will surely appeal to music fans who want to modify the audio levels to suit their tastes.
Apart from the prominent addition of the equalizer, the update also comes with a few other interface improvements. The Discover option, which was previously a standalone one, is now embedded inside Browse on the iPhone version of the app. Meanwhile the iPad version has been treated to a revamped Artist page, which now shows the performer's latest release and merchandise. While these maybe minor changes, they improve the overall experience and make the app more user friendly.
The developers have not revealed when the new equalizer will make its way to Spotify for Android and Spotify for Windows Phone, but we expect the update to arrive soon.
