Samsung Z announced with Tizen

Samsung Z
The Tizen powered was officially announced by the company, a day ahead of the Tizen Developer Conference in San Francisco. Unlike the Galaxy S series design, Samsung has chosen a rectangular shape for Tizen flagship, a shape that is quite popular in the Chinese markets. However Samsung has included its signature faux leather treatment to differentiate it.

The Samsung Z features a 4.8 inch touch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2.1 megapixel front camera, and a 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. You also get Cat 4 LTE connectivity, a 2600 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. The operating system is Tizen OS 2.2.1, which packs familiar Samsung functionality, such as Download Booster and S Health 3.0.

The Samsung Z will be selling in Russia first, sometime after July. Other countries will follow, but it isn't known when. The price is still in question, too. In terms of colors, the phone will be available in black and gold.
