[GUIDE] How to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on iOS 7.1.2 (untethered)


Today Apple released the update for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. Fortunately it looks like the Pangu jailbreak is still compatible with the latest update, so you can use the following guide if you need help jailbreaking your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch on iOS 7.1.2

[NOTE] Jailbreaking may void your warranty and is not recommend for users who do not understand the risk that come with jailbreaking their device

[NOTE] Make sure your data is fully backed up on iCloud on your (Windows / Mac) computer before you proceed with the guide

The Pangu Jailbreak tool is compatible with the following iOS devices:
  • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4
  • iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
  • iPad mini, iPad mini Retina
  • iPod Touch 5

How to jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 untethered using Pangu on Windows and Mac
  1. Download iOS 7.1.2 and install it on your device
    -
  2. Download Pangu for Windows or Mac OS X (1.1.0)

  3. Connect your iOS device to your computer and start the Pangu jailbreak tool.

  4. Click the 'Jailbreak' button and follow the instructions to change your device date to June 2, 2014. You can do this by heading to Settings > General > Data and Time on your iOS device and turning off the Set Automatically option. Now you can set the date to 2nd, June 2014, and set the time to 20:30.

  5. Your device will reboot, and when it does you will see the Pangu logo displayed. Tap on it.

  6. Follow the remaining steps, hit continue when prompted and the jailbreak process will complete after a few moments.
Once you have completed the above mentioned steps, you will be able to open Cydia and install your favorite jailbreak apps and tweaks.
