BlackBerry is currently working on two high end smartphones, which BlackBerry CEO John Chen unveiled on Thursday during a conference related to BlackBerry's latest earnings report. One of them is the BlackBerry Passport (formerly BlackBerry Windermere) and the other is the BlackBerry Classic (formerly BlackBerry Q20)
The BlackBerry Passport is a flagship device which could turn things around for the company. The device features a 4.5 inch display with a 1440 x 1440 pixel resolution, 4G LTE connectivity, a 13MP rear camera, a secondary camera for video calls, a 3450mAh battery which should offer all day battery life and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.
The Passport comes with an interesting new design which includes a QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard lacks punctuation and number keys, and users will press down on the keys to type, while swiping over them offers other functions. The BlackBerry Passport will launch this September.
The Blackberry Classic is built with the hardcore BlackBerry fans in mind. It offers the Bold-style keyboard and will include a touchpad and function keys which BlackBerry fans love. Here you will have a 3.5 inch display and high end hardware on board.
