As you may know, Motorola has scheduled an event for May 13, where the company is expected to announce a brand new smartphone. Today the company took to Twitter to post a screenshot from the UI of the upcoming handset, while adding a #GoodbyeFlipPhone hashtag - which is a sign that the new device is made for first-time smartphone users.
The device itself was not officially revealed, but the general expectation is that the company will unveil the Motorola Moto E. In fact the screenshot which accompanies Motorola's tweet is is identical to the alleged screenshots of the Moto E which have leaked out so far.

Motorola has also tweeted out that the new smartphone won't be afraid of getting "a little dirt" on its keypad, suggesting that the handset will likely be dust (and water?) resistant.

Based on leaked information, the Motorola Moto E is expected to feature a 4.3 inch touch display 5MP rear camera, 4GB of internal storage, a 1980 mAh battery and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone will run Android 4.4 KitKat and is aimed at emerging markets with an even lower price than the affordable Motorola Moto G.
