Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 - Video Review

The Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 is an affordable Android tablet aimed at buyers on a budget, who are looking for a tablet which includes the option for mobile data connectivity. It maybe a tablet worth considering with its compact size, slim bezels, modest yet capable specifications and a thin yet elegant body.

The OneTouch POP 8 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor and features a simple yet easy to navigate custom user interface with full access to the Google Play Store. The device also offers customizability with interchangeable back covers which are available in lively colors. The tablet can cost you around €200 ($275), which is a decent price considering it comes with cellular connectivity. However keep in mind that this price may vary across markets.

One of its biggest competitors come in the form of the latest Google Nexus 7, which has a higher quality display, and a more capable camera. However it will cost you $349 with LTE data connectivity, while you do get 32GB of internal storage by default. Last year's Nexus 7 on the other hand, can be found on Amazon for around $250 with 3G connectivity.

At the end of the day, the OneTouch POP 8 is an amazing tablet if you are on a budget, but may not be the best choice if you are willing to spend a little extra.
