WhatsApp for Android has been updated to version 2.11.230 which brings Group Mute, which allows you to silence an entire group for as long as a century. Obviously no one known what the future of tech will be in 5 years, let along 100, so this option is just another way of permanently silencing a group.

Other new features of the update include the ability o disable notifications from a group permanently by un-checking the 'Show Notifications' box. Additionally you now have a new camera icon near the text input field, so that you can take a quick photo to send to your contact.
