Sony schedules MWC event on February 24

Sony is sending out invitations for a press conference which will take place at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Its very likely that the Japanese manufacturer will announce a new phone or tablet during the event. Especially since the Sony Tablet Z was announced during last year's MWC.


The press event will take place at 08:30 CET/01:30 ET on Monday, February 24th February. Samsung's Unpacked event has been scheduled on the same day later in the evening, when we expect the Galaxy S5 to be announced.

Sony is currently working on an updated version of their Xperia Z1 (D6503 "Sirius"), a budget friendly Sony D230X, and the Xperia Castor tablet which will likely succeed the Tablet Z. One or all of these devices could be announced during this event.
