Nokia is rumored to be readying a new series of Windows Phone 8.1 devices for the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this February. Reports suggest that the new Nokia lineup will target both high end and entry level devices.
The Nokia Lumia 1820 is the handset that is said to head the lineup, as it is expected to feature a 5.2 inch display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel (QHD) resolution a gigantic 3400mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 system chip. These specs may sound outlandish, since the latest GDR3 update for Windows Phone 8 only offered 1080p support. However it may become a reality if the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update which is also set to bring the Cortana voice assistant and unified notification center, adds support QHD displays.
Nokia may also unveil their Lumia 1525 which is expected to feature the same powerful internals and a 6 inch display. The 1525 is also expected to come with a high-end PureView camera.
The company is also expected to be readying the Lumia 1520V a smaller variant of it's phablet flagship the Nokia Lumia 1520. The Lumia 1520V is expected to come with a 4.45 inch display an a 14MP camera.
Rumors have also been escalating about the Android powered Nokia X, which is expected to rival the entry level specifications of company's popular Lumia 520. It is not known if this device will see the light of day, but if it does the MWC looks like a great place for its debut.
